About Us

Mark Wood, CBI

Mark is a Certified Business Intermediary with a Certificate in Advanced Negotiations from Notre Dame University and is an active member of the International Business Brokers Association and the Carolinas and Virginia Business Brokers Association.

Prior to founding VMW Business Brokers, Inc. in 2008, Mark was a seasoned entrepreneur with over 20 years experience in successful business ownership. Having started, grown and sold businesses of his own, he’s keenly aware of the motivations and concerns one has when it’s time to sell. Primary to those concerns are maintaining confidentiality while attaining top price.  His most recent venture prior to forming VMW Business Brokers was a wireless communications equipment company he grew from a local start up in 1992 to a nationwide distributor of communications equipment products, culminating in the sale of the enterprise in 2006.

Mark offers the kind of expert preparation, personal service and confidentiality that larger businesses expect and smaller businesses deserve – what he terms “Mergers & Acquisitions Lite”.
